Don't have the clothing spotlight, is that standard in 2021.1.4?

Glad I finally got to watch this. Goddamn, mind blown. So many exciting, inspiring new features. Pavlovich is doin the lord's work. It's so easy to follow along in ZBrush anytime this guy is demoing. Learned so much tonight.

I'm sure it's a great video, but I had to stop 4 minutes in. The lip smacking and other noises really aggravated my misophonia. 🙁

Just downloaded today, and looks great. Not used zbrush in 3 weeks and its like an alien again to me lol. For simulations, im assuming just end state, no animation can be exported?

1:45:50 Hey Pav, on that note, I've created a 'Zmodeler Traditional' brushset. 20 Zmodeler brushes set to single functions and all called from a single hotkey custom menu. Just put it up for free on my Artstation, if any of your viewers are interested. 😉 https://www.artstation.com/dannymcgrath

    Just not Blender…

    …at least until now. 🙂

( Great job for catching up, Zbrush!! — Maya is still many years behind Blender, so keep up the pace! — You guys still rock! 😀 )

hey Michael.. you say it's easy but.. even with that macro, we have to spin edges and we can't even model freely on the instances, would be great if we could just have a button somewhere for " copy and instance subtool" and be able to itterate directly on the instance itself and not split screen and have the subtool " in a vaccum" on the right and the result on the left…
I was really excited about instanced meshes cause I do a lot of sci-fi stuff and would use a lot of repeating elements and it's gonna suck cause i can't use this method the way it is … i need to be able to model on the instanced / posed mesh as well as the original without all the weirdness of hidden nano mesh planes and split screen and all that hacked cheap workaround

Can you set different tools to behave differently in drops and with each other? Like a soft cloth being squished by a hard object on an arm?

Hi Michael , I can ask you a question. Please tell me if it is possible to move the sub-tool to the point where the gizmo is. That is, the essence is like in a blender: move the gizmo to the desired location, and then move the sub-tool to the same point. Or maybe there is some way to position objects snapped to points. Snapping to points is very lacking. Perhaps there are such functions. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the stream, super useful. This release is great, just making my way through the features. It's late in the video 2 hour mark but that Instance Subtool feature is going to be so helpful.

It's just me or all the folding stuff are really bad?
I try, but everything i do is not at all the reaction I expect from a fabric.
Ok, we can make some cool napkins, but then what?
I really hope someone will make good pants like we use to see in marvelous and can show me how to use this stuff but I doubt that will happen.

Zbrush has improved a lot in this new version, the last releases in my opinion were a bit lazy in my opinion, I hope that one day we can have there rounded bevels (I think they are called fillets), PBR Materials and proper uv tools, and then we will have one of the most powerfuls softwares in the industry, the new retopo tools and dynamics stuff have been a huge leap but we need to keep movilng in that directon, thanks for your work Michael

Hey mike, love your stuff man. Ive been thinking, since youre close affiliate with zbrush id love to hear your thoughts on transpose master and how it can be revamped… My thoughts would be a new system that doesnt use masking to pose characters and keeps all subtools visible while posing so that way you have a better idea whats going on. A simple yet effective system that ĺets you pose with 1 or multiple subtools at a time. What do you think?

Triangulated meshes do run faster and more accurate sims, but the triangulation has to be done with a Delaunay pattern not just subdividing the quad mesh.
I haven't seen this new tool in the flesh yet but I wonder if cloth parameters are tweakable. All the wrinkles look too soft while robes have stitches, zips and buttons that will change stiffness and behaviors.
