how did you make that custom nose brush?
Edit: I see, you go to the tool or subtool you'd like to make into a brush and at the bottom of the brush palate (B) there is a "create insert mesh" button.

Its called Mesh Fusion you need a polygroup surface then draw ontop of it the mesh with a hole, it will not work if you append an object and try to connect it,
make sure when you CTRL+Drag your Dynamesh is off.

The sphere loses its body, not the Ctrl+Shift control plane, and inverted and adheres closely. What did I do wrong? Can you help me?

Very horribly explained. You explained poly groups more clearly than what you did to actually merge the pieces.

A bad tutorial, too long and not very explicit exactly when you present the bridging between the two meshes. And it doesn't merge subtools. Your method is not a substitute for using Dynamesh. Waste of time.

You could have told right from the beginning that this tutorial needs your brush from patreon. It would be professional to let people know before they begin to watch it.

what tool did you use at 4:39 in order to merge the two pieces together?

all the time you have nose- as brush and explain how to make some subtool into into brush firts!
you can make polygroup easier with zmodeler
    than when i reach this
actually click and drag changes mesh to dynamash

is it possible to do that, if nose was a appended tool, but not IMM nose????

it could be a bit quicker I mean there was a lot of rubbing the model and rotating it and the explanation could be clearer ):

Thanks for your tutorial. Reconstruct Subdiv did not working when I am trying with Sphere 3d. only showing "Mesh contain triangles : Operation cancelled. How can I fixed it, if you pls tell me.

Cool tutorial, but I wanted to scream when you advertised your other videos, patreon, subscribe, like, etc. Holy crap, dude. Just get to the video, and if I want to subscribe, I will. Sadly, I had to vote this down because of that super annoying self promotion.

I had using this technique to merge a human body part.it's work fine and great when merging but sometime it not work because the mesh is merging but with a lot of high spike…. do you know why this happen?

One of the beginner's doubts: in the part of selecting subtools, when I select one to edit, it is not selected and the selection goes to the last subtool of the project automatically, do you know how to "fix" the click on the subtool q desire?

Hi, I was working on a model and zRemeshed it, I exit from polyframe shift+F, then the curves on the model disappeared and I have a hole in the model and can't figure out how to show the curves or close that hole, hope you can help, thanks

Asking people to support you on patreon before watching the video is no good. It leaves a bad first impresion.

Question. Stuff like eyes, teeth, and maybe even claws should not be dynameshed together and added last correct?

  • thetoonimator

    30 Tháng Mười, 2020 - 11:05 chiều

I'm still confused. What operation does control-click-drag do to merge the mesh/vertices together if you're not using Dynamesh? Did you merge your visible subtools? Maybe I missed a step? Normally control-click-drag with Dynamesh will "mesh" the objects together in the same subtool. Does control-click merge work only for Multi-Mesh?

when I pick sphere3d_1 and make the sphere, then click MakeMesh3d and then press Reconstruct Subdiv, it doesn't work. A friend of mine said you can't have any triangles in the object for Reconstruct to work. If that's true then how is it working for you? Do you have a different default setting? I"m using (4R7 p3)

Hey man, just wanted to say thank you for this.
I'm not a pro, so probably I'm doing something wrong, but.
I had a model with asymmetric tail, and wanted to Zremesh it. Apparently, you can't just hide a part and go with symmetry for some reason, because it messes up the hidden part anyway.
So I decided to split a tail, closed the body hole and used your technique to glue tail back (after zremesher). Had to tune the mesh target, but i think its the best i could ever got with my limited knowledge:

You can see the pink one is the product of insert mesh auto-welding. Only 1 triangle and everything else is aligned!

1:57 – you can as well use "freeze subdivision" – will allow you to to insert mesh as well.

Thank you for the great tutorial. It works for me when I want a head with different polycount to the body. I want to know if there is a way I can insert my head mesh in the exact position, rotation, scale it was when I split it from the body.

so I'm guessing I can't just merge the part I want to weld? it has to be an insert mesh brush? I tried just merging them into one subtool with my female anatomy model, with holes on the parts I wanted to merge to the body and polygroups for the spots I wanted them to attach to and it didn't work.

The  click & drag holding control – 2 times doesn't seem to work in 4R7. no bridging polygons formed.
